Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 2026
This is the short version: we run a small content brand. If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it) so we can send you the free Case File and the occasional newsletter. We don't sell your data. We don't want to.
What we collect
Signup form: your email address, and optionally your first name, when you subscribe.
Analytics: standard, anonymized traffic data — pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, device type — via [analytics provider]. This helps us understand what people actually read.
How we use it
Your email is used to send the free Case File you asked for, plus a periodic newsletter with new content and updates from the shop. Emails are sent through Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email provider.
Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the site. We don't try to identify individual visitors.
Third parties
Kit (ConvertKit): stores your email address and delivers our newsletters. See their privacy policy for details.
Etsy: all purchases happen on Etsy's platform. Etsy handles payment, shipping information, and customer records. We never see your payment details.
[analytics provider]: processes anonymized traffic data on our behalf.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies — essentially just what our analytics provider requires. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.
Opting out
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're out. You can also email us any time at hello@couchjury.com to be removed.
Data requests
Want to know what we have on file, or want it deleted? Email hello@couchjury.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the newsletter.
